Sarah (Escaping Through Books)

Chain Reaction (Perfect Chemistry Series #3)

Chain Reaction - Simone Elkeles Okay, so yes, this book was very predictable, very similar to Perfect Chemistry and Rules of Attraction, and at times cheesy--but I didn't care because I can't get enough of the Fuentes brothers! Simone Elkeles' writing is addictive, and I couldn't put this book down! This is the story of the youngest Fuentes brother, Luis, who is now a senior in high school. Like in Perfect Chemistry and Rules of Attraction, romance is at its core. I mentioned in another review that I really enjoy alternating perspectives, and this book switches between Luis and Nikki's points of view, like how Perfect Chemistry switched between Brittany and Alex and Rules of Attraction switched between Kiara and Carlos. I just love seeing both sides of the story of a romance, and this book delivered, even though at times I was skeptical about how realistic Luis's thoughts were. The best part of this book, for me, were the appearances of Alex and Brittany because their relationship was my favorite (Perfect Chemistry still remains my favorite of these books and counts as one of my all-time favorite books) and I loved seeing how they were still so very much in love. If you were hoping that this book would be a completely new and original story, then you will be disappointed because it's basically the same story as the first two books. As I mentioned earlier, though, I personally didn't care at all because I ate up the previous books and just wanted more of the Fuentes brothers. These books are "comfort reads" for me and I will definitely be rereading them. I can't wait to see what other stories Simone Elkeles has in store for us in the future!
